I very will never forget the time when I went to a cottage deep in the woods with my wifey.
I thought it would be the ultimate affectionate getaway.
I figured we could do a little hunting and I could cook for my wifey over the fireplace. I wanted it to be something very special, and I even brought along a enjoyable amount of wine, which I knew would help keep us hot on the inside. Well, the weather was okay when we arrived at the cottage, however then I were slammed by a drastic Winter time storm that lasted for afternoons. We were snowed in and it was kind of a horrifying experience. I made sure to keep the chimney from clogging up with snow and I kept a fire roaring in the fireplace, fortunately, I was able to access the wood supply which was giant to last for the entire month even with the fire roaring constantly. We were able to keep the place nice and toasty and fortunately we had enough food to get through the storm. I mean by the fourth day we were eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and beans. I thought I would get some hunting time in however I was never able to do that. When we were able to clear the snow and a plow came out to help us, we decided to leave early. That was an experience that felt more like a month than three afternoons, however I’ll always remember to bring an sufficient food supply in the future instead of thinking I can just hunt for everything we need.
