Is it safe to use geo heat pumps in areas where there is the icy ground?

It required very minimal repair which meant I saved up a lot of money

The two of us live in a town that freezes up during winter. The ground all around the cabin becomes icy & walking as well as driving is a safety hazard, however our cabin is in the middle of farmland & during Winter time the people I was with and I do not farm, obviously. When our electric oil furnace malfunctioned earlier on when Winter time started, I started researching the best heating & a/c system for our home. I stumbled up the geo heat pump which was fitted underground & was the most efficient system in the heating corp. This system also came with a few energy saving help recommendations as well as a free first oil furnace/heater tune-up session. There were also other smaller units I discovered that could be used in case the central heating failed. These units included the oil furnace & the space heater. The Heating & Air Conditioning tech confirmed that the ductless Heating & Air Conditioning was built to withstand the harshest ground & would definitely be okay for us to dig up & install the new heating unit. Though this was true, They had a difficult time digging up the frozen land, but they had come prepared & had specialized component for boiler replacement. The job took them close to four days but they did a splendid commendable job. They also provided me with a wireless temperature control to control the temperature at the comfort of our home. As previously assumed, this component was the best I ever had as it worked effortlessly & provided quality indoor comfort all through the Winter time as well as other seasons since it also had cooling capabilities. It required very minimal repair which meant I saved up a lot of money. I was cheerful to have chosen this system.
