Flooding from the leaking faucet disfigured our electric oil furnace

I travel a lot for labor & right before I was busy to go on a company trip before breaking off for winter, the water supply hastily went off, however calls to the water supplier confirmed that there was a pipe that had a burst… Because I was used to opening the faucet as there was consistently water I had opened the faucet in the bathtub & when I realized there was no water, I forgot to close it, however i then went on our company trip; When I returned, I was surprised to find our cabin soaking wet, but the first thing I checked was our electric oil furnace… Since it was located in the basement, water had drained into the basement & caused the central heating component to short circuit & power off.

I called the Heating & Air Conditioning tech for assistance & he told me not to switch it on.

I then contacted the building supervisor to help get rid of the water from our residence. This was also a nice pick to have the servicemen perform a oil furnace/heater tune-up on the ductless Heating & Air Conditioning at our premises. I had not busy 1 of these since boiler replacement about 3 years ago. The entire system was soaked with water & the water also disfigured our oil furnace & a space furnace that I kept on the floor in the basement. The experts determined that I needed a new heating component & best of all a geo heat pump since the current 1 was completely destroyed by water. This new component would be efficient as it was a heating & a/c unit. It came with a list of energy saving help tips as well as a wireless temperature control provided by the heating corp.
