He told us there were fans they could put into the HVAC duct that would help to push more heat into those rooms.
Ever since we moved into our house, we have been finding areas of the condo where the heating and A/C don’t reach. I had one section of the dining room that was typically freezing in the winter. One would know this spot would be by the dining room door, however they would be wrong. The spot was in the corner near the stove. The only time there was any heat in that area, was when I was cooking. It was care about we had our own personal icebox kneeling in that spot. I called the Heating and Air Conditioning company and asked what I could do about this and the other areas in the condo that were impervious to heating and A/C. When the Heating and Air Conditioning tech showed up, he showed our hubby and I how the spots we pointed out were the furthest from the oil furnace and air conditioning units. He said the HVAC duct didn’t reach those areas, which is why there weren’t any air vents there. He told us there were fans they could put into the HVAC duct that would help to push more heat into those rooms. This would put a small boost into the amount of heat and air conditioning that flowed into the rooms and it could help with our ‘dead’ spots. When asked how much it was going to cost, our hubby balked. He said that before he put more money into the current HVAC duct, he would rather wait until we decided for the new system. He wanted to go with a ductless Heating and Air Conditioning plan in the next couple years, and I would just need to put up with freezing spots.
