I was enjoying a cartoon the other morning.
They had epitomized all the horror stories I had read about shared HVAC systems.
I was always studying articles about how there was only 1 control unit in a sizable room with many workers. Everyone was trying to take each other out so they could have their own personal setting on the control unit. I couldn’t imagine anything worse than sharing a HVAC plan with only 1 control unit. That was until I worked in an office setting. All of us didn’t have a shared control unit. The control unit in this office building was run by the owner of the building. She had the control unit set so she could save money on the heating and cooling system. There were many times when the office director was calling for HVAC repair. When the HVAC tech arrived, she would tell him that there was nothing wrong with the HVAC system. The 1 time she contacted the landlord, she said the heating was fine, however she didn’t think the people I was with and I needed more heat. She just thought the workers needed to work harder and expend the energy needed to make their own heat. I had never heard of a more annoyed lady than this. She was easily laying at condo laughing because she was raking in the sizable bucks while the people I was with and I froze. After a year, our supplier moved to another building that was owned by someone else. Our office director told the people who were thinking about taking over the space, how miserly the owner was with the HVAC. They chose to transfer their operations into another building.
