My job was a lot self-explanatoryr last year, however this year, we are having the annual conference again.
I am laboring hard again and am genuinely tied up every morning. If I didn’t have to do all the other stuff I do every morning, I wouldn’t mind this job so much, although I assure you it is genuinely stressful. There are about a million details to look after, and if you forget something, people are going to get angry. And there are some things that are completely out of your control. One year, the parking situation at the hotel was genuinely unorganized, and I had to hear about a million complaints about it, however do I have control over that? No. All I could do was try to get the hotel to take charge and service parking troubles. One time, there was the worst problem ever. The hotel’s Heating and Air Conditioning plan broke down early in the morning on the first morning of our event! Our place is way down south, and it is held in October. If there is ever a need for air conditioning, it is in the south in October, however alas, we had absolutely no cooling coming out of the air conditioning air vents right from the start of the morning. Is the lack of air conditioning our fault? Of course it isn’t, however that does not stop people, especially our boss, screaming, “Do something!” If I could have whipped out our magic air conditioning-repair-wand, guess me, I would have already done it; Unfortunately, I was all out of magical air conditioning repair devices, so all I could do was demand that the hotel “do something!”
