When my first supplier went public, I all of a sudden had millions of dollars… I was a farm girl from the country! When I started the supplier, I was only 15 years seasoned and I did not have 2 cents to my name. I was still attempting to make the supplier a success when I was 18 years of age. I lived in my parents’ basement for a long period of time so I could use all of my currency on the business. My parents were especially supportive, but they believed in me and thought that I was going to change the world. They were especially proud of me on the very day that my supplier went public. I paid the mortgage for my parents’ new household and I bought 20 acres of property on the same street. I built a new household of my own and I hired an interior designer to help make the place look entirely new and sophisticated. I realized that I would be hosting dinner parties and company meetings at the new household and I wanted my home to reflect my wealth and status. I would have been perfectly glad with deer antlers and bear rugs, but I realized that wasn’t new or elegant or sophisticated. I didn’t entirely appreciate most of the ideas that the designer had in the start, but after a few meetings both of us found a design style that I actually love. My whole household has a completely new look and appeal and the interior decorator entirely made the place look wonderful! I can even entertain out on the patio, thanks to a hot and inviting outdoor seating section that was the interior decorator’s idea.
