The wind is ripping and roaring outside and I am starting to worry about our air conditioning system. I have a window air conditioner on the west side of the house, however there’s a large tree right next to the new home and has a lot of old and dead branches. A couple of years ago, a branch from the tree crashed down on the side of the new home and took out the air conditioning condenser and the window. I had to spend about $800 to substitute the air conditioning system and repair the window. There was a storm much like this one outside at the time when that accident occurred. The winds were strong and it was raining heavily. I believe that’s why I am feeling so anxious, sad, and nervous. I just installed the air conditioning a couple of weeks ago because every one of us have had a lot of humidity and heat! Now I wish I would have waited another week. The weather from this storm is coming from the gulf area where the rapidly adjusting temperatures are much warmer. All of us weren’t expecting so much rain and wind, however the storm shifted yesterday and that changed our entire forecast for storm weather. Now I am absolutely sad that another branch will take out the machine. I could transfer the window air conditioning to a safer site, however it’s seriously heavy and bulky; my son put it in the window and helped me with the upgrade. I would need to do it all by myself and I’m not sure that I have the strength. If the wind wasn’t howling and moving so fast, I wouldn’t even worry about the heavy rain here.
