I had thought for sure that when I purchased one of the most powerful heaters that I would find that it would work in my favor.
- It meant that even during the coldest winters my home would remain toasty and warm and that was just the way I wanted it.
When fall came around, I started to slowly break in my heater, and by the time winter was here, I had been using it daily on full blast. The only problem was that it worked too well. My house would quickly become way too hot and instead of staying within the warmer 80 degree range it would quickly rise into the high 90’s. I was shocked when I had started to sweat and I checked the thermostat and it gave a reading of 97 degrees inside. I know it might seem really simple to just turn it down or to turn on the a/c instead, however I really was unsure of what I should do. I decided to look up the HVAC company that made it and when I finally got a HVAC technician on the phone I asked for help. I had looked at the thermostat and I was still having a difficult time figuring out how to turn it down. Luckily for me I was able to locate the make and model number of the heater and I gave that information to the heating professional over the phone. Now that we knew what we were dealing with, he then proceeded to walk me through how to turn it down so I didn’t fry like an egg in the sun. After about an hour and the max temperature at 99 degrees and climbing by the hour, I had finally figured it out and I was able to set the temperature to stay at a stable 80 degrees.
