Helping out a stranded HVAC worker

My parents raised me to always help people out when you can.

I have to admit that I am not always great about it, but sometimes I will hear my mom’s voice in my head and I start to feel a little bit guilty.

So when I was driving down the road the other day and saw a guy next to his broken down van, I thought it would be a good chance to help out someone. I pulled up next to the man and he let me know that he worked for a local HVAC company, so that I would feel safer helping out a stranger. Thankfully the HVAC tech only needed to have his van jumped and I happened to have jumper cables in my trunk. It took less than ten minutes for me to help out the HVAC tech, but he was so thankful that he offered me six months of HVAC maintenance for free. I was shocked because I know that HVAC maintenance is very expensive and I only helped him for such a short period of time. I am so thankful to that HVAC tech that he returned the favor in that way because the very next month our HVAC system stopped working. I will never forget this interaction I had with the HVAC worker and I will always remember to help people out even when they can’t do anything for you in return.
