It honestly seemed that I had the worst luck when it came to working different jobs.
I would either be laid off from a good job that I preferred or I ended up getting fired for some ridiculous reason.
There was this one job I had and I told the customers they should go to our competitors because they had better deals and higher quality products. That job I was fired from, but I was only telling the truth. Well, finally I decided to go to an HVAC trade school with a friend who was talking about getting into the HVAC industry. He spoke of all the amazing benefits and the excellent pay, and this sounded like exactly what I needed. I figured the schooling would be worth the investment, and it truly was. I will admit, the schooling part was not very easy, but I paid close attention and studied like crazy to make sure I passed the HVAC certification tests. So the first HVAC company I went to with my friend, we both got a job, but I ended up getting fired. It’s funny because this is what has happened to me for the longest time. I realized that I just didn’t like having a boss that I tended to disagree with. I tried to offer people services for lower costs and the boss was very angry with me for this. He said I was not permitted to offer discounts even if people were struggling financially. I just wanted to help people out and I finally started working for myself. It’s amazing because as soon as I did this, I became successful. I am not exactly rolling in the money, but I am comfortable and people appreciate my HVAC services and the fact that I am honest and genuine.
