Managing a company as a side hustle during employment is a single of the most challenging things I have ever had. I needed something I can rely on for extra income, but being away all week wasn’t cutting it. When I established my air conditioning business, I thought it would be simple to account for every Heating, Ventilation and A/C product for sale I had in store, but it turns out there are loopholes to manipulating stock figures. My younger brother was the first employee I had, however he knew nothing of Heating, Ventilation and A/C brands, so I hired a professional Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional who knew more about Heating, Ventilation and A/C to handle the buyers plus sales. Being naive, my brother would sit at the till all day plus do not bother to reconcile stock figures. So a single weekend, I ordered a stocktake to review my sales plus stock balanceâ€¦ Nothing matched! In the store, I had stock already marked as sold in the system, plus on the other hand, some of my quality Heating, Ventilation and A/C component was missing. I figured the first problem was to have a single employee handle air conditioning service, attend to heating plus cooling service requests, supply orders for whole beach house air purification appliances, plus zone controlled Heating, Ventilation and A/C equipment. He was stealing something from the store with every delivery he made. I didn’t fire him, instead, he hired a current employee with as much knowledge on Heating, Ventilation and A/C systems to observe his work. I became more involved, plus although I was spending more on employees, there were signs of better returns, which I hoped to boost with introducing an Heating, Ventilation and A/C service plan, personally, I was already thinking of taking a course to become a heating professional or study something related to cooling tech before quitting my job.
