A store manager with a entirely bad accountability for Heating & A/C products for sale

Managing a company as a side hustle while in employment is one of the most challenging things I have ever had.

I needed something I can rely on for extra income, however being away all month wasn’t splitting it.

When I established our a/c business, I thought it would be easy to account for every Heating & A/C product for sale I had in store, however it turns out there are loopholes to manipulating stock figures. My younger sibling was the first employee I had, but he knew nothing of Heating & A/C brands, so I hired a professional Heating & A/C business who knew more about Heating & A/C to handle the clients & sales. Being naive, our sibling would sit at the till all morning & do not bother to reconcile stock figures. So one weekend, I ordered a stocktake to review our sales & stock balance. Nothing matched! In the store, I had stock already marked as sold in the system, & on the other hand, some of our quality Heating & A/C device was missing. I figured the first concern was to have one employee handle a/c repair, attend to heating & cooling repair requests, supply orders for whole apartment air purification appliances, & zone controlled Heating & A/C equipment. He was stealing something from the store with every delivery he made. I did not fire him, instead, he hired a new employee with as much know-how on Heating & A/C systems to track his work. I became more involved, & even though I was spending more on employees, there were signs of better returns, which I hoped to boost with introducing an Heating & A/C repair plan, but personally, I was already thinking of taking a course to become a heating business or read something related to cooling tech before quitting our job.
