Let’s seal up the exits

I decided to try to contain the high-priced, treated air inside our little cabin more efficiently.

I feel a lot of us are sad about air quality & air temperature these afternoons. I feel that I am, & I don’t even have an immune system issue or dust sensitivity troubles, and still, air purification is all that I ever feel about these afternoons. I’ve installed a ton of whole-house air purifiers in our apartment to help disconnect unwanted airborne contaminants, however I’m still not super cheerful with our heating, cooling, & air quality control system. To be honest, I am the sort of hypervigilant adult who never knows how to relax, but recently, it seems appreciate at least half of our mental energy is devoted to heating, cooling, & air quality troubles between this viral pandemic & this climate change problem. This is especially poignant in life when the climate is swiftly changing around your own home! I feel that’s why our cooling system has been such a problem for a while now. My air handling unit stopped being able to correctly keep up with the climate in our area, which is placing a good deal of pressure on the entire central cooling system. I’ve been really sad & really uncomfortable; Now, it’s been weeks of AC repairs & renovations… & I decided that it was time to do something about our indoor air pollen levels which didn’t include our AC unit, itself. I decided to try to contain the high-priced, treated air inside our little cabin more efficiently. This is when I found out about insulating your windows & doors with sealant. These are tons of solutions for caulking & sealing windows & doors for reducing your drafts & increasing your indoor air retention. Since sealing up our cabin & breaking down our utility bills, I’ve finally felt a little less anxious.
