Smart house cybersecurity

For a monthly fee, the cybersecurity for the entire house is covered and monitored 24 hours a day, and backed with a guarantee

My friend recently set up his house with the whole Smart House package. A team of geeks came in and spent a whole day putting in all the gizmos and gear, and connecting it all to the audio controlled digital assistant. Almost every function of the house can now be controlled remotely by my friend, his wife, and other people who know the access code. It’s really neat, I have to admit, with self operating doors, lights, climate control, entertainment system, and the works. I asked him what he was doing to protect the system, in terms of cybersecurity. He said that the security system was part of the setup, and I explained that the security system locked the doors and called the cops, but the cybersecurity protected that system from being hacked. It had not occurred to him that the security system would require a cybersecurity system to protect its integrity. I contacted a risk management company, who did a remote evaluation of my system and gave me a list of recommendations. That same company offered a monthly package of firewall and server protection solutions that came as part of a larger threat detection program. For a monthly fee, the cybersecurity for the entire house is covered and monitored 24 hours a day, and backed with a guarantee. This is great because I want experts to worry about that sort of thing so I don’t have to. I don’t really understand how all the cybersecurity stuff works, but now I won’t have to, I have a team of experts to understand it for me!
